Dramatic rock formations in Santa Catarina. Sunrise or sunset is best, and minutes from downtown.
Parque Ecológico Chipinque
A natural reserve in the Sierra Madre Oriental. Trails, panoramic views, and the cleanest air in the city.
Parque La Estanzuela
A protected canyon south of the city with a shaded creek-side trail and small waterfalls. Best in the morning, comfortable shoes recommended.
Paseo Santa Lucía
A 2.5 km river walk from the Macroplaza to Parque Fundidora. Boat rides at dusk, lit bridges at night, and it runs right past Casona de Santa Lucía.
MARCO
Museo de Arte Contemporáneo. Excellent rotating exhibitions in a Ricardo Legorreta building right on the Macroplaza. Closed Mondays.
Tigres UANL
This is a Tigres household. The Liga MX Liguilla runs through mid-December, so if Tigres reach the semifinal or final, there could be a match at El Volcán the week of the wedding. Nothing would make us happier than starting our marriage with a Tigres title. Check the Liga MX schedule closer to the date.
Rayados at BBVA
The other team in town. If Rayados are still alive in the Liguilla, Estadio BBVA is admittedly a beautiful stadium. We'll begrudgingly concede that much. Just don't wear blue and white to the wedding.

What language will the ceremony be in?
The Mass will be celebrated bilingually in Spanish and English at Parroquia del Sagrado Corazón. Programs will be printed in both languages so every guest can follow along comfortably. Toasts and the welcome at the reception will also be bilingual.
How do I get from the hotel to the venues?
If you're staying at any of the Safi hotels, complimentary shuttle service will run between the hotel, the church, and the reception. No need to book ahead, just be in the lobby. If you're staying somewhere else or prefer to travel on your own, Uber and Didi are both widely available throughout Monterrey and work great.
If I'm driving, where should I park?
Parking near the church is limited. If you're driving and plan to attend the reception afterward, the easiest move is to come early, park at Casona de Santa Lucía (the reception venue, where parking is plentiful), and walk to the church. It's an eight-minute walk through the Paseo Santa Lucía. After the ceremony, walk back together with everyone for the reception.
